Jessie Greengrass was born in 1982 and lives in Berwick.


Her short story collection, An Account of the Decline of the Great Auk, According to One Who Saw It, won the 2016 Edge Hill Prize. Her first novel, Sight, has been shortlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction and for the James Tait Black Memorial Prize and was on the longlist for the 2019 Wellcome Book Prize.
